Product Description

The first ever DVD to feature one of Punk's most explosive & entertaining bands, the UK Subs. The Subs were formed in 1976 & specialized in sub three-minute versions of punchy rock n roll. During the late 1970's the band released a string of classic Punk singles 'I Live In A Car', 'Stranglehold' & 'Tomorrow's Girls', all of which are included in their full live glory on the DVD. The DVD features two full gigs, at the Retford Porterhouse & Manchester's Gallery club, from the early 1980's, capturing the band at their live peak. Also included amongst the set is Indie Chart top 20 hit 'Another Typical City'. In an extra bonus, a full set from UK Subs founder & stalwart Charlie Harper's sideline band, Urban Dogs, who also feature other original members of the UK Subs, is also included. The 'Dogs existed between 1983 & 1985 & were heavily influenced by the American garage sound pioneered by The Stooges & The MC5. Their classic set from Brannigans club in Leeds includes the Indie Chart Top 20 hit 'Limolife'. Approx. 95 minutes/Region Free Code 0. Cherry Red. 2003.
