About a decade or so ago, I was deep in meditation when I somehow had an ephiphany; I was mant to be here from the very beginning. The universe somehow had need of me to be here; that I wasn't a fluke of nature, or God's mistake, or an "accident"...like I was told when I was younger and more open to what others told me (good or bad).
And then I had another ephiphany and that was EVERYONE that is here or was here or will be here is meant to be. Now this may seem like a juvenille insight to some, but to me it was staggering because sometimes I like to think that Life makes an occasional mistake or two; I mean, hello? Hitler? Saadam Hussein? Bin Laden? David Hasseloff..just kidding, Dave...
I think we were all born for a grand purpose. I think we decided from the very beginning to be the people we are now. We even chose the events and the experiences that we were going to encounter during our lifetime. But then we get here...and we fall into a deep, deep sleep.
Remember, it says in the Bible that Adam fell into a deep sleep...it never mentioned him waking up...and we're represenatives of that "Adam" consciousness...we fall into a sleep and forget that we don't just have a soul...WE ARE THE SOUL...
So a few of us decide to maybe wake up a bit...we start meditating, we learn how to forgive a little more, we let go of things that no longer serve us, but still there is a deep yearning tucked deep into our minds and our hearts that we are here not simply to make things nice and pleasant, we are here to help the world TRANSFORM and TRANSCEND...
This CD really relaxed me and got me in touch with a deeper aspect of myself. It is only about 20 minutes and a bit pricey, but it did, from the get-go, but me in a much deeper place than I was before. Of course, I entered into the session with those kind of expectations and we usually get what we expect to get.
I recommend this CD for its content, but I still think the price is a little high for what you are actually getting. I am sure that there are other guided meditational CDs that are far less in price and can also help you to connect with your Higher Purpose or you can simply create your own which is what I am currently doing with the limited technology I possess; a boombox with a tapeplayer and a microphone...(no, not Mr. Microphone..."Hey, babe we'll be back to pick you up later...") I've had a few duds attempting to do this, but I've also had some successes, as well.
You see, it's YOUR VOICE that comes from YOUR SOUL that ultimately empowers you because your voice stems from what is within your soul. So should you buy it...mmmm...listen to your soul...what is it telling you?
