Throughout the history of adult videos, most have been inspired by pop culture, whether it's popular mainstream movies, top rated tv shows, or even major news stories. It was only a matter of time before reality television became an inspiration for adult entertainment. Most adult videos, however, have the stigma of being very cheap knockoffs with schlocky scripts, cheesy costumes, and other impediments. You need someone who's a real class act to rise above entrapments like that. Tristan Taormino is just such the person to call.
Tristan has been known for years as an advocate of better sexuality in all of it's wonders. She's very well known and very well respected in many adult communities. She has directed several adult films covering mostly educational angles such as better technique and devoting entire videos to specific practices. Now comes Tristan Taormino's "Chemistry" series. Inspired by MTV's "Real World" program, Tristan assembles a small group of adult video performers and lets them have free reign in a single house over a two day period. There's absolutely no script, no schedule, and really no guarantees as to how folks will react. Fortunately, as opposed to "Real World"'s reliance on confrontation between people, the performers in these videos seem to get along effortlessly, despite having apparently never met before filming.
"Chemistry 4: The Orgy Edition" stars three women (Penny Flame, Sinnamon Love, and Adrianna Nicole) and three men (Tyler Knight, Evan Stone, and Johnny Sins). If you know these performers from other videos, it's a safe bet to say you'll like them in this one. If you're unfamiliar with them, you get a genuine feel for who they really are here. There's nothing in the video that indicates that anyone is faking it for the cameras. If there's any real drama, it comes through the interviews interspersed throughout the film where the performers talk candidly about being in the adult video business and about what they like about each other.
One of the more telling interviews comes from Penny Flame as she talks about how real love and affection is usually absent when sex is being "performed" in a video. You can definitely see her passion here and in the rest of the video.
Over the course of this two disc film, there's four hours of footage taken from the 36 hours they had to film. Most adult videos have a tendency of getting boring and redundant when they run that long. To keep it fresh and interesting, the performers themselves take turns filming all the action. Shot in Hi-def, each performer gets a chance to film the others with the "Perv Cam" during scenes where two, three, and sometimes all six of them are in the middle of enjoying each other's company. Also, the action takes place at all hours in various locations around the house (outside by the pool, at night with a special night vision filter on the camera, in the hot tub, etc.) In keeping with Tristan's goal to educate and inspire, this video also features special guest stars Mark Michaels and Patricia Johnson to give a seminar on tantric sex. While it might not be a complete course, their scene definitely inspires folks to learn more.
So the big question, the really important question, still remains : How good is the actual sexual activity shown here? Whatever your favorite sexual position is, it's shown here. If you're a fan of seeing beautiful women interacting without men, look no further. There's literally something for pretty much everyone throught the course of this video. There are even dvd menus that allow access on a scene basis AND position basis so that fans of a certain action or location can just jump straight to it. The ladies are all exceptionally beautiful, the men bring considerable charm to the production, and the action is more than hardcore enough to satisfy any viewer's desires. All in all, an outstanding video which is highly recommendable.

I enjoyed this DVD immensely, and appreciated the somewhat realistic nature of the scenes. I also appreciated hearing the interviews and getting to know each star before their scenes. The stars showed a lot of personality, and had fun, which you don't see in straightforward porn often. You can tell at least some of the girls were pleased with the males' performances and had actual orgasms. I think this DVD would appeal to anybody who wants to watch porn with the potential to make them laugh as well as arouse their senses.

We enjoyed the "real life relations" not the formatted, fabricated, formulaic junk sinking the "erotic arts" nowadays. This is our second Tristan Taormino purchase and she's really on to something. Seeing people as they are and as they do is refreshing. This DVD will knock your socks off!
